MovieSource Privacy Policy

MovieSource is provided by AudioBitts Inc. (“AudioBitts,” “MovieSource,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the MovieSource mobile application, website, and related services.

By using MovieSource, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create or use a MovieSource account, we may collect:

  • Your email address

  • Your username or display name

  • Your account identifier

  • Your password or authentication credentials, which are processed through our authentication provider

  • Account creation and sign-in information

  • Password-reset requests

Creator profile information

If you create a creator profile, we may collect information you choose to provide, including:

  • Your display name

  • Profile photograph

  • Biography

  • Website

  • Social media handle

  • Other information you add to your public profile

Your creator profile and the information you publish through it may be visible to other MovieSource users.

Movies and other content

When you upload or publish content, we may collect and process:

  • Movies, videos, profile images, and thumbnails

  • Movie titles, summaries, genres, categories, and keywords

  • Creator and ownership identifiers

  • Thank You movies or messages

  • Upload information, file names, file types, file sizes, and technical media details

Published content may be displayed publicly within MovieSource. We may process uploaded videos into different formats and resolutions to support reliable streaming.

Please upload only content that you have the right to use and share. Do not include sensitive personal information in content intended for public viewing.

Reactions and activity

We may collect information about how you interact with MovieSource, including:

  • Reactions you send to movies

  • Movies associated with your reactions

  • Reaction-credit balances

  • Free and purchased reaction usage

  • Creator performance and reaction totals

  • Thank You content unlocked through eligible activity

  • Searches and other actions needed to provide app features

Purchases

Purchases made through MovieSource are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your complete payment-card information.

We may receive and store information needed to verify and manage a purchase, such as:

  • Product identifier

  • App Store transaction identifier

  • Purchase date

  • Credits granted

  • Refund, revocation, or transaction status

  • An account token used to associate the purchase with your MovieSource account

Apple’s processing of purchases is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and terms.

Creator Wallet information

If you use Creator Wallet features, we may process:

  • Reaction and movie-performance totals

  • Estimated, pending, or available creator value

  • Related activity records

  • Currency and transaction references

Creator Wallet information may include estimates and status information. Unless separately stated, displaying a balance does not mean that a payout has been initiated or guaranteed.

Information collected automatically

When you use MovieSource, our systems and service providers may automatically process technical information such as:

  • Internet Protocol address

  • Request date and time

  • Device type and operating-system information

  • App version

  • Authentication and security events

  • Server requests, errors, and diagnostic logs

  • Media-delivery and streaming requests

We use this information to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve MovieSource.

Website and cookies

Our website host may process technical information necessary to deliver and secure the MovieSource website. The website may use essential cookies and similar technologies.

If optional analytics or additional cookies are enabled, we will provide any notice or choices required by applicable law. MovieSource does not use personal information for cross-app advertising or third-party behavioral advertising.

2. How We Use Information

  • Create, authenticate, and maintain MovieSource accounts

  • Provide password recovery and account support

  • Display creator profiles and published content

  • Upload, store, process, stream, and deliver movies

  • Provide search, discovery, reaction, and Thank You features

  • Verify App Store purchases

  • Maintain reaction-credit balances

  • Prevent duplicate, fraudulent, refunded, or unauthorized transactions

  • Calculate and display creator performance and wallet information

  • Maintain the safety, reliability, and security of MovieSource

  • Detect abuse, fraud, technical failures, and violations of our terms

  • Respond to questions, requests, and support messages

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Improve MovieSource and develop new features

Where applicable, we process personal information to perform our agreement with you, comply with legal obligations, protect our legitimate interests, or act with your consent.

3. Public Information

Information you publish may be visible to other users or the public. This can include:

  • Your display name

  • Profile photograph

  • Biography

  • Website and social handle

  • Published movies and related descriptions

  • Creator identity associated with published content

  • Public reaction totals or creator statistics

Information made public may be copied or shared by other people outside MovieSource. Consider this before publishing personal information or media.

Your email address, password, private purchase records, and individual wallet records are not intended to be displayed publicly.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate MovieSource, including:

Google Cloud and Firebase

We use Google Cloud and Firebase services for functions such as authentication, databases, private media storage, video processing, streaming delivery, and application hosting.

Apple

We exchange limited transaction information with Apple to process, verify, restore, refund, or revoke App Store purchases and related reaction credits.

Infrastructure and website providers

Our hosting, security, and website providers may process limited information on our behalf to operate and protect MovieSource and its website.

Legal and safety disclosures

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request

  • Enforce our agreements and policies

  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of MovieSource, AudioBitts Inc., our users, or others

  • Detect or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or illegal activity

Business transfers

If AudioBitts Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Data Storage and International Transfers

MovieSource information may be stored or processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.

If information is transferred across national borders, we and our service providers use measures required by applicable law to protect it.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide MovieSource

  • Maintain your account

  • Preserve published content

  • Verify purchases and credit balances

  • Maintain creator and transaction records

  • Prevent fraud and abuse

  • Resolve disputes

  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations

When you delete a published movie, we will take reasonable steps to remove its associated stored media. Some information may remain temporarily in backups, processing systems, security logs, or records that we must retain for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Request deletion of your personal information

  • Obtain a copy of certain information

  • Object to or restrict certain processing

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

  • Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request

  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority

You can update certain creator-profile information within MovieSource. You may delete individual movies through the available creator tools.

To request account deletion or exercise another privacy right, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

8. California Privacy Rights

California residents may have the right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of recipients to whom it is disclosed.

California residents may also request correction or deletion of eligible personal information.

MovieSource does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We therefore do not offer a sale or advertising-sharing opt-out.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures include authenticated access, private media storage, limited-duration media links, and transaction verification.

No storage or transmission system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or lost without authorization.

10. Children’s Privacy

MovieSource is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required to consent to online services in their country.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who are not legally permitted to provide it. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

MovieSource may contain links to creator websites, social profiles, Apple services, or other third-party destinations.

We do not control the privacy practices or content of third-party services. Review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as MovieSource changes or as required by law.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Your continued use of MovieSource after an updated policy becomes effective is subject to the updated policy.
